Wardy, I see by your second attempt, that you are still having problems with posting pictures.

Here's what I do.

I use a free off-site picture hosting service. There are many of these on the net. Google "picture hosting". This is the one I use - http://imageshack.us/
I use Photoshop to downsize my photo's and make sure the colour is correct. But ImageShack will resize the photo's you upload to their site, so if you don't have a programme like Photoshop, no worries.
I upload my pic's to ImageShack by browsing to the picture as directed by PhotoShack much in the way you do when using the upload feature for these forums.
I select the direct link option in ImageShack for pictures that I post here. ImageShack gives you both thumbnail and direct link options. The thumbnail option gives you a thumbnail link which directs the viewer to the ImageShack's web site. However, I prefer to use the direct link option, because this allows you to post a larger picture directly into the thread without the need for the viewer to do anything. (This also avoids the viewer from having to endure any advertising at the picture hosting site.) From the perspective of the Ubeaut site, this is the best option, because it doesn't take up any room on the Ubeaut server.
Another very popular facility used by many forum members is the free down-loadable programme, "JPEGCompress". This simple programme enable simple re-sizing of pic's suitable for use on these forums; 320 x 240.:)
