My father in-laws segmented turning

Hi all,
My father in-law (Jose Jalife) wanted me to post his work on here.
I must say i really want to be retired so i can do work such as this.
He is an excellent craftsman and his work is just brilliant. He is wanting feedback from you all. also if you have any ideas on where i can advertise these for sale that would be great too.

Jose, your work has excellent alignment, composition, and very nice form too. If I had to choose, I like the center piece best, but that is just personal choice. Thanks for sharing with us.

Potential sale areas:

try Oztion which is a Aussie version of E-bay its just starting out so its number are not as great as E-bay.

E-Bay [ AUST + US etc] there have been a number of wood products on sale. You would have to monitor and get a fel for the price range. It may well be better to look at the US site as a greater market.

Trade-Me Which is a NZ version of E-Bay this one very successful in NZ even with its 5% commission fee.

There's actually a number of websites out there that show how to do segmented turning. Do a search in google and your eyes will about pop out of your head at what some people have done!

Separately, The Art of Segmented Woodturning : A Step-by-Step Guide and Woodturning with Ray Allen : A Master's Designs & Techniques for Segmented Bowls & Vessels are both beautiful and inspirational books if you are interested in looking further into segmented turning.

local librarys some times set up displays of local crafts men
he might be able to show them at yours.
hate to think what he could turnout in bandsawn boxes !!!!

Hi All,
My father in-law said thank you for your comments.
He is very proud of his work. He doesnt have access to a pc.

My website is nearly finished and i have put a page on there for him to display all his wares.
