Are there are design recommendations when constructing ornamental boxes and jewellry boxes ?
I would think there was something to ensure the finished design was asthetically pleasing.
I was think of parameters for wall thickness v height v width v depth
One internet site quoted :
Less than 16" perimeter, use 5/16" thick stock
From 16" to 30" perimeter, use 3/8" thick stock
From 30" to 50" perimeter, use 1/2" thick stock
Over 50" perimeter up to 'full size furniture', use 5/8" thick stock
I can't find much on the net about it and don't have any suitable books to hand.
Thanks
Tony
