I think the frame would detract from the piece, leave it as it is. Looks good, by the way.

Not real sure...I do agree that a frame might detract the onlooker from the piece but if you could do a frmae that the color was muted enough....it might wood add to the piece....This is one of those that a soft color would work with...not high contrast.

Personally, I think a frame made of the same timbers as the picture would accent it nicely. I doubt that different timbers would work.

Perhaps the darkest wood as used in the stems, with a small inlaid strip of either the tan from the lily "lips" or the redder stamens?

Skew, I really like that idea....dark with a bit of light in it to compliment the piece itself....You my friend have some artist blood flowing in your veins...

Just enough to see the bad points of my work, not enough to be able to do anything about it.

If it was mine I would defineatly frame it. I frame most intasia pieces, the frame being larger than the piece. A backboard of thin MDF or ply is then covered with a suitable cloth material, usually polycotton curtain material. The intasia piece is screwed in place. It realy is worth the trouble. will try and send picture Vinnie.

that's absolutely georgeous! I'd think it depends one where you are going to hang it.... if it's a wall that has some sort of design going ( wallpaper ) then I'd frame it , if it's a modern looking room, with plain walls I might leave it as it is...
