Just curious, which chuck would you prefer and why? I know the teknatool chucks are cheapier but are they just as good as a vicmarc?

I did a lot of 'research' into this very issue - I ended up buying a SuperNova2 chuck.

Why? Nearly all Teknatool jaws fit ALL 'Nova' chucks - Vicmarc jaws are model specific - so if you need to buy a larger (or smaller) chuck in future, all the Teknatool jaws will fit the new chuck. The Supernova2 also has a much improved key drive over the older 'Supernova' chuck & just uses a ball-ended allen key, like the Vicmarc.

Really, buy either one, you are not likely to be disappointed, they are both quality machinery.

But I'd say the Teknatool equiv. of the 120 is the Titan, not the Supernova2.

Correct Ern
Supernova 2 = VM100
Nova Titan = VM120
