Heres a clock I made using pallets for the timber source...........now to zip it to MIL and make the family happy :) Pattern from a John Nelson book and insert clock from Carrols woodturning:D

Wow that's lovely Pete.

I did try my best at the last woodshow in Brisbane to get clock inserts like yours but with Australian flora or fauna - not a chance - oh well. Would have made great souveneirs in my Australia clocks.

Pallets are a wonderful thing. ;)

Yeh yeh, it's really clever and looks really great but can you stack things on it? Huh? And just where is the forklift supposed to pick it up?

A great risk hoping that someone out there will appreciate a really nice hand-made ornamental clock more than a good ol' pallet...

I just hope you're not dissapointed should you prove the only one...

That's a great looking clock. it's amazing what can be made from recycled material. :D it looks new to me.
