I have a few bits of some of our hardwoods been put aside for a special occasion which I would like to have a couple of small boxes made as a gift for a mate in Norway .Who btw is a very fine cabinetmaker .I met Tore about 12 years ago whilst trout fishing in Tassie . Tore gave me a beautiful fly box which he had made from baltic pine .I am going to Norway this year and would love to present him with something similar made from some REAL WOOD !! LOL .I will never forget his excitment at seeing some of the timbers available in Tassie , then I told him about our western desert timbers .
I have neither the equipment nor expertise to attempt it , so was wondering if there are any box makers in Bris that would like the task .I am sure that if there are any takers , that we could come to some arrangement etc .
I would like the box/boxes to be about 5" x 3" or there abouts .
The wood that I have here is some Red Lancewood , Western Rosewood , Budgeroo , Burdekin Plum & a few other bits and pieces .
