Hardwoods on the scrollsaw

You folk, out there that regularly use the scrollsaw and in particular with hardwoods of an Oz nature,do you have any problems addressing the denser natures of our timbers as opposed to those of a lesser density with the blades that are produced in Europe,America,Taiwan?

We use Olsen blades (USA) and will cut most hardwoods excepting Blackwood and Ring Gidgee to date. Regards, Tom.

Thanks Tom,I guess that some of our desert timbers would be hard on blades and as I'M still a tyro in regards to the scroll saw it is a matter of trial and error in application of the correct blade with various timbers.
To date I have'nt broken a blade but that dose'nt mean that I'm doing everything right!
There are a multitude of blade types available which only experience and sound knowledge from those in the field can provide the means to those of us, being the unitiated as a guide.

Johhno, I have tried using a coarse metal cutting blade with some success and also a short legth of bandsaw blade which also works well. Most blades are OK and breakages are just a fact of life that cannot be avoided.
