Made this one for my brother. After he saw the one I have he had asked if I could make him a copy. Only thing different he wanted was that it have a cover so that you wont see all the junk being stored. Wood is brazilian cherry and recycled narra. Finished with varnish oil. My original is made of maple with light birds eye. I use mine every day to sit on while putting on shoes.

Nice Work Ddeen.
Must admit I prefer the maple but that is mostly because of the birdseye, but they both are fantastic!

Good job there ddeen. Nice to see you are making good use of the work bench too. It looks well worn in. ;)

Nice project. I can remember as a kid, converting an Orange crate and pop crate to make one similar (yet not as pretty as yours) Stole (Borrowed) my dad's shine goodies and headed to town to make my fortune. Finished the day tired, dirty, & disappointed, if my memory serves me. Your project has brought back old rememberances to me, Thanks for posting.

I too prefer the Maple because of the patterned wood.
