just been shopping at the local Bunnings and notice they are selling ( think it may be a new line.. but not sure) GMC spiral saws.. any of you guys know anything about it?.. the blades look like drill bit..and on the box it states can be used for circle cutting and as a roughter...

I saw one of those at a demo at Mitre 10 here on the weekend. They look alright and if I was doing any home reno work again I would definately consider getting it.

My wife bought me one for a birthday present a few months back. I set it up and found the base plate wasn't flat and the base plate wasn't square to the collet. Couldn't get it to cut square with a straight bit.
Took it back. Maybe the one I got was a dud. Might be worth you checking the one you pick.
Pity actually, I reckon it would be a handy little tool.
Swapped it for the Triton ROS as my present. Nice :D
