Back in 1991 I made this Jarrah burl bowl it was one of my first works, I was never happy with the outside shape of the bowl. After reading Richard Raffins article in the Australian Wood Review I decided to return it. Deciding that less was more I decided for a simple profile and I think that after 15 years the bowl finally looks right.
The first picture shows the bowl mounted for returning the other pictures are various stages to completion. I finished it with Shelawax and S#it Hot wax.
