Couple of boo boos in this one; tapered legs are biscuit joined to sides, fun to make.

Barrie, there is a perception deception, the concave base section together with the tapered legs creates the impression the legs are slanted inwards more dramatically than they are - well done!

Nice one, Barrie. The legs certainly set this box apart from the average. I'm wondering how you'd do them if you didn't have a biscuit machine. Anyone?

Thanks everyone for the nice comments but the congratulations should go to the designer, David Freedman, from his book Box Making Basics.

Its a neat illusion (thats what attracted me), the legs are actually perpendicular, only the outer two faces are tapered. Finish is organoil and a little tung oil/beeswax homemade mix.

Thanks Tony for the e-mail, I'll certainly use your suggestion; I'm a novice at the photo stuff, too.

Regards,

Barrie
