sanding belts

Hi all. I'd like to tap your great well of knowledge.
Does anybody how to make sanding belts? I've tried a couple of times with no sucess. I want to use it mainly on an expanding drum, also trying to make small ones 20 - 50mm dia.
Any help or advise appreciated. cheers

I investigated this a while back. The glue used to glue sanding belts is very toxic and shoulg only be used in a controlled enviroment. Probably because of this you can't buy it over the shelf.

The prospect of making ones own belts sounds very tempting. I would be very interested what others have found out.
