A mini turned and carved desk ornament.

This one was done for SWMBO (she's a cricket nut).

Huon pine, and jarrah cricket ball. Oiled and waxed finish.
Turning the bails was the biggest challenge. They are only about 4mm long, and 2mm diameter.

Are you sure your not a cricket nut, Timbernut??:D Mighty FINE work!! I turned some "eggs" today, because the chooks aren't laying, and i remember long ago, I used a plastic egg to encourage the chooks!!;) So the chooks are going to wake up to 4 camphor laurel eggs in the morning:eek: Don't know what they will think of them, but the alternative is the cooking pot!!:)
