RETIRED
12th September 1999, 11:46 PM
Godday all.
Well DUTA99. has been run and what a great event it was this year.
124+ people were there this year, they came from as far as away as The Hunter Valley (NSW), Wagga Wagga, Adelaide and Tassy. As well, the New Zealand contingent was there to keep an eye on Guilio and Bruce (it was rumoured that they came to see some sun).
Mike Mahoney, Dick Sing and his wife, Cindy were there from America. They are doing some demos around the country and I will endeavour to get some dates and places for the board.
If you get a chance to see the friendliest, most down to earth turners with a passion for imparting their knowledge that I have ever met. GO SEE EM.
Thanks to Caroline, Sue, Guilio and Bruce for making this w/e so successful. As usual the staff at The Island were obliging in every way.
Good company, Good food, Knowledge freely given and taken, Plenty of lies and bull****.
What more could a woodturner want for.
