I've just finishing stripping the bathroom floor down to the timber and will be rebuilding a new one. I'd like to get an 'expert' opinion on whether the following steps are the way to go....

1. Nail fibre cement sheets to timber flooring
2. Prime fc sheets and glue down pvc perimeter strips (to fc only) around shower area
3. Apply waterproof membrane
4. Mortar screed over top to create slope
5. Apply fibreglass strip around perimter and apply waterproof membrane over top of this and screed floor
6. Adhere tiles
...of course there are many different ways people like to to this work but would this be suitable
Note: I was going to do this work throughout the entire bathroom (its only small) even though I know you only have to completely waterproof the shower and adjacent area.

Also, once the screed is laid down, I believe you need to pack it in. What's the best way to do this?
Cheers
