Great to see a young person with a drive to do something they both love and can get some good money out of. One day I might be able to show you something that is worthy of being beside your work .... one day:o

You'd probably get more responses (and honest ones) if the pole wasn't public

No, I sent him an email, mistakingly requesting timber, and he said, he was not a supplier. I sent him photos of my work, and he said would you like to do an interview. I said yes, and It went from there.

congratulations young fella. Be proud of your work, be prepared to answer all types of questions (stupid included):D several times over, but never think yourself better than the next man. Pride is dangerous, being proud of yourself and your work is not. Budget and invest wisely now and you will reap the rewards in years to come. Without being rude the biggest fault of todays lifestyle is wanting it now, not being prepared to invest both your time and money is folly.:( Here ends my sermon   Tony

I read it. Calling yourself an artist is a bit wanky, but other than that it read OK. Good on you for finding something you're into at a young age. If you stick with it, I'm sure you'll get somewhere. ;)

Let's not start on the "Is it art?" or "Are we artists?" questions again otherwise I'll be forced to say bollocks again.:D

This forum is excellent for supporting the likes of Stirlo and Joash who are young and keen! , and to women who once would have never taken on woodturning which has been a mainly male dominated crat/ "art"!!
I take my hat off to all the unbiased input from very experienced turners who have fostered and supported the likes of Stirlo and Joash etc.:)
