Beautiful people, Do'nt you love it when you are cutting some timber and the anticipation of the grain is so exciting that you just cant wait. This little number was found in a stump I was hacking into. The owner said as a child he only had a 303 in the cupboard so I will go with that. Nice grain too. Damien.

Very nice grain mate. I think the find is extremely interesting there as well. What sort of tree is it?

I collect wood from far away pig hunting country and avoid as much as possible any tree that would appear used for target practice.
A 303 most likely is a metal jacketed projectile - oooh. :eek:

The 303 was copper jacketed and I was simply slabbing it with a chainsaw. Minimal damage to the chain.

Good find. Should look good in a coffee table top - great conversation piece.
A few years ago a bloke in Qld unearthed a pocket watch that had been left in the fork of a tree and grown over. Luckily, the watch was undamaged.
