Was in at one of my local blokes today and he had an Hitachi wide blade bandsaw on the floor...not cheap either but there for the serious guy doing regular commissions.
Had a price tag of 5 major handfuls(5000)but has the ability so I'm told (and he has already sold one and seen it in work) to be able to cut thin slivers of timber to a veneer stage I believe.
Rack type fence adjustment with a good fence which still requires some setting up for fine cuts but this machine with regard to re-sawing would be an asset to anyone who mills their own timber.
Mind you a fair bit of work would be required to redeem the outlay for this machine.
I didn't get the model No so I cannot go into any further detail other than to say I had not seen this saw previously.
