I need to cut a 350mm x 350mm square hole in the wall of my fibro shed (not asbestos) whats the best tool for the job? I was thinking either a jigsaw or a reciprico saw, but what blade to use? Or is there a better tool?

You can get tungsten blades for either of the 2 saw types you mentioned. You can also use an angle grinder or circular saw with a stone cutting blade (very dusty!) You make 4 partial cuts with these and finish up with an old hardpoint saw. Another way is to hammer a hole in the middle big enough to cut with an old hardpoint saw to each corner, use a score and snap knife to score the border and snap the waste off. Or various combinations of these depending on your mood:)

My wife with a 4WD and bullbar have proven a pretty good combination at putting holes in walls.

The size will most likely be a bit bigger though :D

If you are positive it isn't asbestos, then use a 4inch grinder with a diamond blade.

Add to that a good face mask or a water fed chassing saw.
