Hiya

I'm looking for an Aussie equivalent to Korina / Limba (Terminalia superba).

It's to make a Flying V body for a mate. Gibson now make their V from mahogany, so at a pinch I can use some Fijian mahogany, but I wondered if anyone had come across an Aussie substitute.

Fiji mahogany is damn nice for guitar bodies. A much better looking grain than african or honduran. Maybe not so good for necks as the grain wanders and twists a lot. Comes up a treat with a shader and clear gloss
