Hi weisy,

depending on where you sell it, you could sell it for $30-$70. if u make a website, put the prices up a bit, as internationals buy offline.

Regards.......Joash

Oh and don't worry about ozwinner, he is such a tease p:

I would not ask under $30 for it, you know if you want to give it away you can do that. well I know that people happily pay $20 -30 for a pen and there is more wood there. That just my 2 cents but feel free to dump it

you doing this for fun or to make a living?
are you declaring the income for tax purposes?
do you have an ABN?

Assuming you're doing this for fun and declaring the income – $20 to $30 incl. GST
and make up the difference (after GST credits) by depreciating the lathe and writing off the tools against other income

if to make a living...
well ask yourself how much you need to earn per hour to survive

Crude rule of thumb I once heard quoted by a pro:

cost of materials x 5, plus 10% GST

('pro' means that the design and execution are of a prof. standard).

Edit: looking at your pic, that's a lovely piece of wood but the design really turns me off.
