WC2000 top for Mk3

Hi all, i have a Mark 3 Triton which has served me well over the years but being one of the poorer types who doesnt have a shed, it has spent its life on my verandah under a very thick BBQ cover but it has taken its toll and its looking a bit sad and sorry.

I dont want to get rid of the whole thing as it has sentimental attatchements, i simply want to replace the top. I wanted to know if a Workcentre 2000 top would fit on my Mk 3 so I wrote to Triton last week and got a very brief, somewhat impersonal reply saying they dont have any Mk 3 tops and a new WC 2000 would set me back about $500. Hardly answered my question.

so, does anyone out there know if a WC2000 table top will fit on a Mark 3 table?

No it won't.

But you can use the base for the current Router Table (RTA300), and use the old Mk3 top as a $100 trade-in on a new WC2000 (if and when) that offer is re-established by Triton. No idea (if) or when the offer will be available again however - only heard that it is currently on-hold.
