just finished this bowl out of rosewood 191 pieces 160 mm high and 240 round SHMBO likes it finished with eee and 2 coats shelawax enjoy if you like

Nice piece, I've nothing but admiration for anyone who can succesfully pull off a piece of seg. work. Did you scallop the edge before or after turning?

How do you keep the pieces in each layer aligned when you are glueing them up so they dont slip before they are clamped?

Penguin, If she likes it its good!:D Have shied away from segmented bowls of late, too darn busy. Good to see your work, fine effort

scalloped after turning making shape on paper and cutting with mini hacksaw and then sanding up
Terry,Josh I have a piece of timber I routored out so I a flat base and back ,I use masking tape on the base to hold in place before joining and fitting hose clamp
djstimber it took about 14 hours over about 3 weeks
