Haven't unpacked the boxes yet - will have a play this weekend.

Any tips from you "old" guys.
thanks

Hi Ron,

I have both.

The P300 gives incredibly smooth faces to timber cuts and no burrs to PVC cuts. I have the adapter for the rail as I think it may be useful for cutting thin strips from timber ( or jointing very thin stock.)
I have taken the splinter guard out as I can see the blade better that way. Cuts are fast, accurate and quiet.
The RO150 I couldn't live without.
Efficient stock removal and waste removal. (Need a good Dust removal system.)
Virtually no vibration, you can sand for hours.
Cleans up scarring from previous grits very effectively.
Different grades of pad can be scarce at times, make sure you have a good source.
High grit pads should be regarded as disposable if used with oil.

Effectively, the thing doesn't stop, it just says "where do you want to go today?"

Hope this helps, let me know if you want more info.

Regards and Congrats,

Rob

Hi again Ron,

Couple more things I thought of.
Don't use the side arm when you are using low grit pads, control can be an issue.
I usually use the sander in orbital mode up to 4-600g, using them and subsequent pads in random orbital mode.
Suggest the lambs wool pad as an accessory. Great for buffing up. My wife uses the sander and lambswool to polish the furniture inside. Get some wierd looks , but hey!
