I modified a plan of a tounge drum and came up with this. It's made from Cherry, Paduk, wenge' (still trying to get rid of) and Holly. The sound is pretty remarkable. Since I like making all things boxes, I thought I'd try my hand at it. Not the playing, just the making of... :-) (I guess I should use the smilie thingies to side here):D :D
Anyway, fairly easy to make and I plan on making a dozen or so to donate in the annual toy give away that our club does each year. We have about 400 toys made now. You should see the childrens eyes light up, when they get that handmade wooden toy. Even if its just lettered blocks.
