Check out Mik International in Adelaide, They not only carry Crown tools, but often have them on sale!
It's on the web:www.mik.com.au
Their new store is great! Could spend hours there not to mention $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
Good luck,
Sandman.

I think he is refering to those carved/fretwork type balls with a ball inside containing another ball and so on. Just a guess.

Hi Tony,

I have the Crown chinese ball tool and i figure it is not the best tool I have bought up to now... If you are in the making of chinese balls you probably have or have access to David Springett's book "Woodturning Wizardry" He gives some nice informations on making your own tool.

This kind of tool fits one size balls only as you probably know. the Crown tool is for 2 1/2" diameter balls.

Have fun!

My little site... (http://www.jeanmichel.org)

Just letting you know we (Mik International) have the David Springett/Crown Chinese Ball tools listed in our web site www.mik.com.au in the "Turning Tools;Misc." category (they were only added last week, although we have had the tools for a long while).

Regards,
Mik International
