Can aybody tell me about the new gmc bandsaw and is it worth the money

I don't own a Bandsaw so I can't comment, but this URL will take you to some of the details. When you get there, just click on the picture and then the arrows that appear at the bottom right hand corner. That will give you a readable sized copy.

If you are talking about the one that sells for about $380 at Bunnies then I think you would be much better of visting Carbatec/Timbecon/Hare & Forbes and checking out there bottom of the range 14" Bandsaws which start at around $440. If you want a bit cheaper, then Carbatec and Timbecon have a 10" (same size as the GMC) for $299. You can see the Carbatec ones at (they dont have the 10" on the site yet as it is new)

I think these would be a much strong build than the GMC imho. I like GMC's small stuff for value (drills etc.) but for larger stuff, get the real ones.
