Ive just picked up a pair of 2700mm high by 1250mm wide morroccan style doors with ornate scrolled iron work in the centre panels that need some TLC.
There is sign of borer damage in some of the lower timbers, the main hinges are missing and the iron work has some serious surface rust.
I probably will not want to restor them to as new condition but get them in working order with some glass panels behind the iron work. any tips or sources of information for restoration would be great.

A couple of pics would be really helpful.

A friend of mine (whose website I host) did a similar job recently with large doors which were very old.
Because the bottom had deteriorated to the point of weakness, he had to reinforce. Behind the metal scroll/breezeway inserts there are hinged glass panels which required some reconstruction too. They looked fabulous when done.
