Maintenance for Maple:

Hi team. I am a new member and this is my first thread. I am an amateur woodworker and semi-professional musician. I have recently purchased an Ibanez Prestige Series 1205E electric bass guitar. It is a composite of mostly Maple for body, with Mahogany and flamed Maple wings. It has neck-thru construction, five piece Maple and Walnut with Rosewood fretboard. It a truly beautiful instrument both visually and sonically. My first true top class axe in 15 years of playing.

I am searching everywhere for information regarding the maintenance of the oil finish: Brisbane has wide variance in humidity and I have learned that the lack of care of timbers can be disastrous (esp: Huon Pine).

Please help.
