I have two chioces attaching it to the mounting plate on the home built table slung on the wings of the TS.

Use the two mounting bolts that attach it to other triton proprietary gear
or
take off the plastic base plate and use 4x1" threaded screws to attach it directly to the mount plate.

Which is best?

The consistent answer to the question "Which is best?" is always the same.

What do you want to do?

If you want to use the router hand held and table mounted intermittently, then the 2 quick release bolts are handy.

If the router is going to live in the table, then secure it in place, using the 4 screws.

At a guess, it will be easier to mount it initially using the 4 screws, as you will not have to shape the keyhole slots.

Also, if you are going to try the keyhole slots, make sure they are in something sturdy.
