Hi all

Well lifes dark storm cloud does have a silver lining and ours shimmered recently.

Some may recall that three years ago my partner sufferd a workplace injury that caused severe damage to her brain that has impacted upon her ability to function normally. This has caused her chronic anxiety with some depression.

Life has been difficult to say the least. We were looking at a continued battle with her employer and my leaving my job as my time was almost up down here and she was not well enough to return to a big city and I was going to resign.

But amazingly in the space of two weeks my partners invalidity retirement has been approved, despite constant fights between the employer and her doctors, and i have been offered an involuntary redundancy from my employer.

So we can now settle for good by the sea at Port Macquarie NSW in a new house, no debt and thanks to income protection a reasonable wage for my partner until she hits 60. And i ordered her a new Toyota RAV4 as a present today.

Now i just need to find a new job......Im thinking bikini inspector or bra fitter......and roberts my fathers brother

Life is beautiful

:D :D

Depression is a right bar-steward - been there, still there. See if you can get your current GP to sign the papers so you can get a Commonwealth Carer's allowance - abot $90 a fortnight, no means test. And if Little Johnny thinks he needs to buy votes you might get a lump sum just before next election.

As for a job for you - I'm sure that Port needs a rental workshop like DIYDan's place at Hornsby - and it would all be deductable/amortisable

Hope you & the Missus enjoy fishing, swimming etc.

Not a market gardener by any chance?
This is common amongst them, something to do with the sprays they use (or used to use) causes a lot of teste problems.

Hey Dazzler, sorry, I must have missed the bit where you asked the girls to leave the room...
I once met an old bloke who was looking a bit miserable, and when I asked him what was wrong, he said gruffly, "I'm getting both my bollocks chopped off today". Thinking he was joking, I said, "Well, they should make a lovely pair of earrings." Ooops. Not impressed.

Anyway, you'll have to settle for a necklace....

My ex only had one, due to a childhood accident, so I feel qualified to say, don't worry, one is more than enough to be going on with.
;)

Seeing I have private insurance do the nurses help me with that

ps. I always thought that you should be able to pay a premium so the carry on nurses could look after you :D
