Thinking the patented haemmeroid clamp, or splinters in the clamp, large family you have an assortment of sizes for different jobs:rolleyes:

sorry that one went straight over my head ...:)

unless you're referring to the screwdriver-looking object on the floor - its actually a very nice narrow chisel!

Anyway, excuse me for being completely ignorant, but why are you mortising the neck of the double bass (??? I assume thats what it is).... what goes into there?

Is it for the pegs for the strings?

yeah that's where the ends of the strings go. Great big machine heads screw onto the sides.

That clamp is broken, it has a crack in it :o
