They say $95K for one too. I suppose USD - if that makes any difference once it gets to that much.

I do like the way it snugs back together once expanded or contracted to give a perfect finish.

Some clever people developed that design.

This is my first post. I just wanted to add a link to the original design. It was designed by Robert Jupe around 1840. His design had inserts that had to be manually added. But different sized inserts could be used to make various sized tables.

Absolutely amazing.

I'd hazard a guess that there's been more than one pair of hands making that table. The first table could have been a made to order job for someone with more money than they'd know what to do with.
There's at least five different skills that I can see employed there : -
* A top notch engineer to design the mechanism.
* A top notch computer expert to check that it will work before machining starts.
* A top notch machinist to make sure that it works.
* A top notch cabinet maker to do the timber work, and
* A top notch painter to do the finishing.

Kudos to Fletcher for an incredible product and design, and if he made the first one on his own in his backyard shed, then I'd be gob smacked.
