I am about to renovate and need to match my 20 year old brush box floor for the extension. Any advice? I suppose I'll have to get samples from some suppliers. Anyone know good suppliers near brisbane? I assume re-cyled timber would be too hard to find? Am a bit in the dark so any comments would be great.

And get friendly with house wreckers - if they know what you want, they might even ring you when they find it.

Brushbox was also used for jetties and bridges so should occasionally appear in large sizes in timber recylcers. I've been turning some pieces salvaged from the renovations to Station pier down here in Melb. Lovely timber, but must be full of silica since it dulls the tools at a prodigous rate.

Try Bretts at Windsor. If they don't have it no one will.
Brush Box used to be readily available but in this day and age, who knows.
