Well I posted first here yesterday my little screw driver kit. Thought I would give you all a look at some of my other little turnings. Bought my lathe not quite a year ago. It's a PSI Midi Lathe. It has been a great little lathe for 159.00 I paid for it. Here is a few shots of the shop that I posted in the box forum:

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful work Corey ... Love the lidded boxes :2tsup: Also enjoyed your shop pics. Great use of space and the lathe bench ya built looks great.

Just as a matter of interest, what finishes are you using?

Some of your pieces look to be better finished than those of some long-term turners I know... :whistling2:

Thanks guys! Skew... I use either Deft Spray lacquer as on the weed pot, Goblet, Beech Lidded Box. The walnut box, ash box and cherry vase are all home brew wipe on poly mix of equal parts, mineral spirits, tung oil and minwax oil gloss poly. This is the same mix I use on my flat work boxes. Hope this helps.

G'Day Corey

A very enjoyable photographic essay, and particularly enjoyed the tour of your shop.

Stirlo...that is lightly spalted birch. Birch and Beech spalt easily here and are in my opinion some of the prettiest when spalted. The first piece and the fourth are also spalted birch.

Thanks all,
Corey
