Anyone know anything about the old BMW D7 diesel? It's a single cylinder, max 7 hp alloy motor usually with a hurst box. (I'm talking 20 - 30 years old here) Only a single and noisy, but very small and very light. Looking for info on spares etc; someone told me that they were based on a Hatz diesel - any truth in that??
Cheers,
CM

They have a bit more detail at http://www.bmwmarine.net/d7-d12.htm. Now to see if there is an Australian equivalent.

There are Workshop manual , Owners Manual and Parts List that can be downloaded as a pdf From this site but you will need to register to be able to access the information.

If you look in Trade a Boat there are adds for places sell second hand parts. Usually the exhaust manifold is corroded out and they want about $500 for one !
