Howdy,

I couldn't get the link to work or find the page manually.

Is it an open class regatta, will there be a woodenboat assoc. presence.

And just how big is it?

I Don't know much about it. Just going along as crew (ballast actually).

On their web-site it is billed as....

This year we have an Australia Day Allboats Regatta scheduled for 26th - 28th January

Our skipper emailed these details to me yesterday.

Saturday 27/1/07 4 1330 hours
Saturday 27/1/07 5 Back to back with race 4

After these 5 races handicaps will be decided for the pursuit race to follow on Sunday.
Sunday 28/1/07 6 A pursuit race (handicap start) 1030 hours

There is no "official" Wooden Boat Association entry. Out next messabout will be sometime in February.

Cheers,

I'll be seeing if it fits in with Midge's crazy schedule. I can fly up in time, but there is probably a bit to do on the boats and spending 3 days sailing is a big bite on resources.

We'll talk it over.

Most enjoyable regatta at lake Cootharaba. Smallest participants would have been Minnows (2.4m). LCSC seems to have quite a fleet of them. Longest would have been the 10m Bolger folding schooner, that my wife and I were crewing on. Fastest would have been A Class catamarans :aro-r: :aro-r: :aro-r: :aro-r: :aro-r: :aro-r:. Wow!

Probably the most numerous were MGs and there was a wide range of other entrants including Hartley 16s... you name it!

Slept well last night

Puddleducks would have been right up there...:2tsup:

No doubt! :( But we do have two yellow ones now, and a trailer that nearly works! :D :D :D

Maybe next year we'll have a whole fleet of them!

Dont' worry, the pain and stiffness will go away just in time to do it all over again!

cheers,

P
