g'day all
i'm getting a new lathe soon and i'll be making a new stand for it because i have the need to be able to move my lathe easerly the atachment shows my design but i (and i'm sure alot of others) want to see your stand.
as for my stand here is a little description...
the first thing you'll notice will be the wheels it has to be mobile but being a lathe stand it also has to be solid. to do this the wheels can be lowered using a bottle jack (the orange bit) the plate which the wheels are mounted is free and there will be a batten on the inside of each leg that will limit the movement of the platform to 20mm there will also be peices to stop it moving sideways (but i left these out so you can see the insides).
it will be made of 25 to 30 mm mdf and when it's done in about 2 weeks time for about $200 or less i'll take piccies for you all
