Pics of a set of coffee tables. I've made this design before in various timbers, but this is the first time I've used anything as wild as casuarina. It looks good, but is very hard and tough on blades.

Finish is Kunos oil, topped off with Trad Wax.

Innovative design.

Great work, Alex. Only what we have come to expect from you, of course! :)

I like the design. The slender stringers give it a Roman feel. The pics show how precisely matched you have made each separate unit. There's no difference in the finished table heights. Very impressive. Greenie launched.

Fantastic, fine work, Alex! The casuarina looks great, too.

(Btw - I shudder to think of you and other highly skilled woodworking perfectionists looking at my work! :- Thanks for all your feedback!)

Cheers,

Wow Alex!!
That set is beautiful, and the timbers work perfectly together. How long did that take you to make?

Greenie on it way.

Cheers:)

Beautiful work, Alex. I too would be interested in some WIP shots if you have any, of the top, as well as how you join the 45 degree stretchers to the rectangular(?) legs.

Have you ever thought of going further with the Sierpinski triangle (http://mathworld.wolfram.com/SierpinskiSieve.html) design?

Thanks for the kind words.
Sorry, no WIPs but I'll try to put together a bit of a description of how it goes together.
