I'll be there :2tsup: :D :2tsup: :D

Booked it in August, and even then had to call 6 places before I found one that wasn't booked out.

But managed to stuff up the dates so arrive Thursday and go home Sunday - d'oh! Well, I suppose gives me a day to visit the Cadbury factory, Cascade Brewery, and I might even sneak the fly rod into the luggage in amongst the GLW's many changes of outfit.

Won't have my own boat this time (but may come home with plans and books  ) but the plan is to try and build something within 2 years to take down next time. I know the boat I want to build, but it's not a first-time project to tackle, so hopefully I'll have something nice on a trailer to take down and potter about in amongst the big 'uns.

Anyone else going??

Not this time, I was going to do a Tas-Goolwa double, but just couldn't arrange it, so Goolwa it is this year.

Tas next time in '09!:;

I think I will make it to Goolwa as I am off for the whole of March. Anyone else going from Melbourne?

I will be there also along with my little boat (http://www.ozsoft.com.au/Splinter). I reckon I will have the smallest power boat there!

Gordon,

I look forward to seeing the boat! Unfortunately the pics on your website don't load for me, so I'll have to wait till you get there in person.

Cheers,

P

Hi,
I forgot to mention that most of the earlier images were lost in a server crash. The later ones are OK.

Well Tyronsea, you've got to get to the next Goolwa festival. You'd certainly put the wind up them in the speed boat roar, although she won't sound quite as nice.
Pretty, pretty boat. Yee Haaa Launceston to Georgetown in 30 minutes!!

Apparently the river's so low at Goolwa, someone has entered a Mustang in the 'Speedboat Roar' :D

The Hobart festival obviously isn't any good, they don't have PD racers :D

Richard

see, that's even handed, I was rude to both festivals

They will have one of the Duck Flat ones on the Boatcraft Pacific stand if all goes well.

Not sailing though.

Just bumping this - the Mahogany powerboat is masterful and well worth a drool...
