I've decided I need a few turning lessons( never had one) to improve my finish. (Mabye I'm using the wrong end of the chisel).
Can anyone recommend a good teacher who can give one on one lessons.
Appreciate your help.

I notice that you're in Sydney and that consumate turner is in Melbourne (or somewhere in Mexico). John Ewart regularly teaches at Trend Timbers at Mulgrave nr.Windsor. The groups are small so there's plenty of 1 on 1and everyone has a lathe to themselves. Ring Mel at Trend for the cost and the dates. Usual disclosure clause: no connection apart from being a satisfied student and customer.

Dan,

Most, if not all Woody Clubs will do teaching. Not knowing where you are makes it a bit difficult. However if your near the Oyster Bay club it meets third thurs of every month and Bruce Leadbetter gives free lessons [Leady Lathe designer and manufacfurer.]
