Hi ladies and gents,

Well I have my new lathe (MC1100) and chisels, swmbo gave me an early xmas present 14''bandsaw as well, that came out of left field but hey I am happy :D.

I started turning lessons with Rob at QLD woodturners society, just been doing spindles to start with but hey you have to start somewhere need to get some more prac on spindles in this week before work and my next lesson.

I would post a couple of picks of my spindles but I don't think I could handle the laughter.:2tsup:

Anyway I have been doing some searches on thses forums but cant really find much in the way of suppliers of burls and large blanks etc for bowls?

Do we have a suppliers list or sticky on these forums with suppliers or am I going blind.

Thanks Willy

You could try South-East QLD Woodworking supplies in Brissy - Dave used to carry a few blanks. There's quite a few forumites who sell/ship blanks around - Mapleman springs to mind as I have to chase him up for something myself!

Yes David has plenty of bowl blanks. Not a lot of burl products though.
