G'day mates

I would like to share with you this idea that gave me:
1. I don't need special sanding paper to fit the holes in the sander
2. Superb dust collection.

Regards
niki

Niki thank you for sharing your idea of adding a skirt around the sander. Will have to give it a go.:2tsup:

Thank you Al B

For the rectangular sander, I hold it at an angle (30°~45°) to the sanding line and I get dust free sanding.

Niki,

Very clever. :)

Now, how many Zloty for a carton of Marlboro lights? :D

Thank you Bob

I was thinking that I should not post the pics with the Marlboro...

It's 63 Zloty (you pronounce it "Zwoty") or $21

I assume that the Marlboro package is either a hangover from past smoking by you, or the result of someone else's current smoking habit - there's not a lot of point protecting your lungs from wood dust if you are sticking cigarette smoke down there!!

Niki - I'm not being frivolous about this, just concerned for you (and I wnat to keep seeing your really creative thoughts posted up here) - cigarettes killled my Dad and my work on asbestos disease sufferers has made me aware of how much more dangerous cigarettes are than even asbestos dust (which is about 10 times worse than MDF).

All the best

Jeremy

You are correct, it's left overs (and they are very useful as shims etc).
We were smoking till 1 year ago but stopped not so much because of the danger but more because of the budget (it summed up to $400 a month)

Thanks for your concern

Niki, thanks for this idea as I have a sander with no dust collection on it - now I will look hard at adapting it for dust collection using these ideas. Paul

Hi Paul

Sorry for the late reply

I have no idea how to make it on a sander that is not originally designed for dust collection.
