G'Day All
Got a few tons of differnt woods, from widow of late woodturner. As I now have a fair bit of wood thought I would waste a bit on an experiment. Campour Laurel 200x50 EEE and feast watson walnut stain dye for contrast.

Nice, mate! Pity ash-trays are so unpopular noawadays as a lead xtal one inset in that would look great!

Looks good and like the contrast very much, Every time I look at these forums you people give me some good Ideas and I still haven't turned a bowl yet, Still working on getting spindles right before I move to bowls.

They're called trinket bowls now...... you just glue something intetresting in where the dogend used to rest.:D
I could never understand the crystal ash tray thing:no: whay would you put filthy smelly stuff in a beautifull crystal bowl:doh:
