This is my first attempt at building an heirloom toy- and if I do say so my self it turned out pretty good. Its a 1931 A Model Ford Roadster pick-up truck. The bulk of the model is oregon from an old pergola post, the roof etc is redgum from a knocked down roadside white post, the wheels are from flooring from a railway carriage built the USA in the early 1900's. It looks for all the world like merbau but is a beautiful rich brown ...I'm sure its not merbau given its history ...maybe some-one out there can suggest whay it may be.
