Have a look at the Box Making forum. Lots of neat boxes you can make with nice pieces of timber.

Could even try gluing some together and try a bit of Woodturning of make some Bandsawn boxes

I'll bet he won't get much time to do anything for a while!
Except maybe build a timber rack.

Hairforks.

Depends if you are interested in selling on the net.

I am a member of a forum discussing hair care, and how to look after long hair as well as style tips, and a lot of people use hairforks, and pay exorbitent prices on ebay etc for well crafted items, some links below to show you what I mean

What about this:

....and even your scouts could make these. The glass part costs about $8.

I think Jake should start with this:

41831

then perhaps a nice end table with different timber, inlay, stringing, veneered feet, etc etc.

41832

Always happy to help, Jake

Wow, those are amazing.

There are an awful lot of things in this world I am completely ignorant of, and until today hairforks was one.

Glad you like my hair forks! Each is carefully hand carved and polished smooth!
