My daughter wanted a box to carry several hundred barcelets she was making.
I thought I could improve on the tupperware boxes she was using.
The idea was to carry the bracelets to shows, be able to display them and be able to get them on and off easily.
After several scribbles and discussions we came up with this.
I had some leftover timber that I thought might be suitable.
Jarrah frame
Cedar front panel
Mister Ply back panel
Cedar rack supports
Perspex rail ~ 20mm diameter
Dimensions: 500mm high, 400mm wide, 85mm and 60mm deep.
finish: Ardvos oil
Brass handle, hinges and catch.
The perspex rail clip into the slots on one end and fit into holes on the other. They hold pretty firmly in place and can be removed with a little bit of pressure.
I deliver it next week just in time for her next show.
It was interesting working through the process and ending up with something that should be useful and look smart enough at a show to give customers a good first impression.
