Yet another one. Learnt today that my mother is dying from cancer of the brain, liver and lungs. I'm not close to her but its a terrible way to go. 'Only' 72. Hope its quick for her.

My Dad went the same way at the same age.

Thoughts are with you again(still).

Mike, my thoughts are with you. I hope its quick for both your sakes.

I sat with my dad while he took his last breaths and I regret not telling him that I loved him.

Shedhand, on behalf of my family, I hope she does not linger too long. Cancer is no fun. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and you family.

Truly sorry to hear about your Mum.
I have some idea of what your (both) going through.
My sisters FIL is in a slow sad decline and all anyone can do is keep him as comfortable (pain free) as possible.

It is definately not the best way to go & we all have to eventually. :(

The one thing it does have going for it is the chance to say goodbye.
If you have some unfinished business, make the best of the time now.
