I need some inspiration on bowl foot design and proportion. I didn't want to hijack " old timber" thread posted earlier, so if you have any good photo's or diagrams i would appreciate it.
Thanks:)

Had a quick play with google.

This is an advert for a book on design (http://www.woodturner.org/resources/tompkins_design.pdf) but page 3 will get you started. :2tsup:

G'day Cedar,
Saved this one from a while back off this thread. It's a shape & form that I find rather pleasing.

Not sure if thats the sort of thing you're looking for?

Caveman,

The foot is too high in that one, IMHO.

In fact, all things considered, the elements don't work too well together, and if one of my sons hadn't snaffled it I would've returned it.

Cedar, as far as I'm concerned the best guide to developing an eye for form is to identify those pieces you like and reflectively observe your eye as it follows the lines. PM me for more.
